Greater Clark County Schools is hosting Camp Kindergarten to familiarize parents and children with their neighborhood elementary school and give them a brief glimpse into the activities associated with the wonderful world of kindergarten! Camp Kindergarten will be held district-wide on Thursday, April 11, 2013.

Camp Kindergarten is a fun and informative way for students and their parents to get a jump start on preparations for entering kindergarten in August. Students must be five (5) years old on or before August 1, 2013 to attend full-day kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year. Each child may bring one or two adults, but please do not bring siblings.

The main goal of Camp Kindergarten is to provide parents with information about the skills and knowledge that are most important for children as they first enter school. School staff members will provide parents with ideas about what they can do during the summer months to help their children develop or improve on these skills and knowledge to ensure their child has a successful start to their school career. Special activities will be provided for the children such as a tour of the school building, story time, and an art project.
